Having passed the IAM test in 1956 I have remained a loyal advocate of their various tests which increase in difficulty as you progress.  I aimed to do something additional every 5 years or so.  This culminated in the Police Class 1 certificate and later enhancements to these. This standard has to be maintained by regular reassessments and the most recent of these was in June 2022. 

That required an excellent drive strictly adhering to speed limits and similar constraints but with an added measure of ‘sparkle’, so you must show you are up to the examiner’s expectations. 

You are required to update this every 3rd year and my most recent was in June 2022 when I passed again.  There are 40 measures and I had nine to polish up a bit, but 31 were measured as OK.
