Ever met a church organist who drives lorries? Read the memoirs of a grumpy old man who once was young and frivolous. It is an autobiography telling the tale from school, military conscription, 18 years in a family business, then 30 years travelling the UK and Europe telling others how to do it. All this is overlaid with an unusual hobby that leads to many surprising stories. All true and mostly quite light-hearted and humorous.
The inspiration for this website came from a book I wrote for my grandchildren in 2014. Much of the material is now here but some more can be read on a 300 page Kindle title: Wednesday's Child: A troubadour's travelogue.

I add to this website from time to time, so it is much broader than the original book and may contain some thoughts not ideal for young people.
